Join Diefenbach for a one day Masterclass in Painting a Seascape with Pastels, Sunday 29 March 2026 9am - 4pm.

Have you ever wanted to paint the sea in all its glory? This is an opportunity to create seascapes that have impact and life. All aspects from the translucent wave, to rolling foam, to crashing impact will be covered in this workshop. Learn how to create pastels that are full of luminosity, dimensionality and light. Diefenbach will share her extensive knowledge of colour as well as provide you with the technical know-how to create the illusion of reality with pastel.

  • This program is SOLD OUT. There are a few spaces available for Lyn's Monday class. Please book your ticket as early as possible to help us run the program sustainably and support our artist educators. A minimum number of ticket sales is required for each session to go ahead.

About Lyn Diefenbach

The pursuit of masterly quality and technique is a high priority for Lyn Diefenbach whose work is imbued with a celebration of her faith and of life.  Her paintings in pastel and oil cover a myriad of subject matter with her bold florals consistently receiving accolades nationally and internationally. Her ability to communicate her ideas has entrenched her as a respected and sought-after tutor, with teaching engagements internationally and across Australia.

Lyn was accepted into the International Guild of Realism in 2008, and holds Master Pastellist status with the Pastel Society of Australia. Lyn was awarded Eminent Pastellist status in the International Association of Pastel Societies in 2019, having achieved master Circle status with that group in 2014. Lyn was accepted into the Pastel Society of America as a Signature Member in 2016. She has been featured numerous times in the International Artist, Pastel Journal, Pratique des Arts and Australian Artist magazines.

A professional artist for more than 30 years, Lyn has had many sell out solo shows and been featured in a host of international and national exhibitions. Her reputation on the international stage saw her invited to demonstrate at the 100 Years of Pastelling in China celebrations - one of only 6 international guest artists to be so honoured is testament to her skills and reputation.
