Allegra Dance Studios’Dance for Brain Health program extends Sally Smart’s exhibition The Artists Ballet beyond the gallery walls through embodied, participatory movement experiences. Drawing directly on the exhibition’s use of fabric, repetition, collage, colour, and fragmented bodies translates Smart’s artistic methods into age‑appropriate dance encounters that prioritise process, sensation, and observation over performance.
These classes are appropriate for anyone living with Parkinson's disease, or movement and mobility challenges, no matter how advanced. Family, carers, friends and health professionals are welcome to attend. The class is also open to members of our community who want to boost their brain health.
With seated and standing options, you will explore elements of dance and exercise in a stimulating, inclusive and creative social environment. No dance experience is necessary!
