Families and children are invited to participate in an exciting range of activities at RMOA in celebration of 2022 National NAIDOC Week. Drop in any time throughout the two weeks of the June-July school holidays to get creative with a First Nations-designed colouring in competition then settle in for story time with a selection of First Nations-authored children's books. The 2022 NAIDOC Theme is Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!
National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
