About the Artist Educator

Jacky is a classical realist painter who trained in an atelier in Florence that teaches the 19th century tradition of oil painting and drawing. Having spent three years studying followed by two years of teaching, his working method has developed into one of working primarily from life.

This level of thorough observation of subjects from life has allowed for a greater understanding and appreciation of everything, no matter how simple or grand.

“My aim isn’t to only paint a beautiful subject, but to paint a subject beautifully.”
